Anand Dum Biryani in Hoskote is strategically situated near the Hoskote Police Station. Despite its limited exposure on popular restaurant directories, including only minimal listings on platforms like Zomato and Instagram, this eatery maintains a niche presence among local enthusiasts.
Operating on a rather unique schedule, you can visit Anand Dum Biryani on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays during morning hours, with an early start on Sundays. Known for serving affordable biryani, it has sparked mixed reactions from past visitors. The mutton biryani is a common choice; however, feedback suggests variations in quality between dining in and takeaway, especially concerning meat portions and how well the flavors hold up when the food is reheated.
Visitors planning to dine there might find themselves amid long queues, especially as the place opens, emphasizing its popularity despite mixed reviews. Inside, there's more on offer, such as fried chicken kebab and a few soups, but these options have not always resonated positively with the patrons. As of now, it's important to mention the absence of recent information from the management, leaving potential visitors to rely heavily on existing, albeit slightly outdated, guest experiences.
Please do not parcel biryani here. They scam people. Parcel has a separate counter and they give only rice with one piece. Cost of this biryani is 270.
Went there on a Friday, reached at around 5:10, there was already a queue of 50 people in the line, they opened at around 6. There is no queue management, people rush in as soon as the doors are open.
The quantity of mutton in the take away parcels are less than the dine in (read stand, it's very difficult to get a seat after 6) plates. The biryani has a lot of mutton fat in the rice, which adds to the flavour if you're dining in and having it piping hot, at the same time, ruins it if re heated for take away parcels.
Fried chicken kebab and soups are also available inside. We had paaya soup, which was just a lot of ginger and no flavour.
