Anand Bhavan is a place that carries its own charm and legacy. For anyone looking for comforting, homely food served with the right amount of warmth and care, this restaurant is a wonderful stop. The place is especially popular among students in the area, which adds to its lively and welcoming atmosphere. I happened to visit the restaurant on the day of Holi, and despite the holiday rush, the experience was very pleasant. I opted for their traditional thali, along with a few side dishes. The thali itself was simple yet satisfying, offering a variety of flavors that felt very authentic and comforting. The sambar and rasam truly stood out and were easily the hero dishes of the meal. Both were perfectly balanced in flavor and had that classic homemade taste that makes South Indian food so enjoyable. The puri, served hot and fresh, paired beautifully with the accompaniments. Along with the thali, I also tried a few side dishes like raw banana chips, okra chips, and chilli chips. Each of them was crispy, flavorful, and added a nice crunch to the meal. These small additions made the dining experience even more enjoyable. To finish the meal, I tried one of their fresh juice options, which turned out to be refreshing and well prepared. It was the perfect way to end a satisfying meal. Another highlight of the place is the reasonable pricing, which makes it very pocket-friendly, especially for students and regular diners. The owners were extremely caring and attentive, ensuring that customers felt comfortable and well served. Overall, it was a warm and memorable lunch experience. I always wanted to go here whenever we came from Bangalore. But went to Pai Tiffins for the convenience. Today we tried breakfast in this restaurant. We absolutely loved it! The owner himself takes orders and delivers with warmth. Every bite of the food we can feel the homely love. I loved the sagu that they give with authentic Mangalore Buns. Many places the Buns are fluffy but here they are made the way they have to be made. They also have special varieties of Dosa which aren't that great especially if you are from Karnataka and are a ದೋಸೆ lover. We tried uppit, godhi parotha, ghee roast dosa, especial dosa, idli vada .. all were good. I wish more people come and make these people more famous because they deserve it. I will try their banana leaf meals next time. Meal type: Breakfast Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
