After a long walk around Mahanirban Math, visit this restaurant and have a rest here. Ammini offers its guests to try Indian cuisine. Ammini is one of the few South Indian restaurants which has suddenly become very popular. This restaurant serves authentic malabar style keralean dishes... I have tried their Mutton Olathede (Dry Spicy Mutton) and Kerala Kozhi Curry (Chicken Curry) along with malabar paratha recommended by one of my friends. People also like their chicken roast, fish in banana leaf along with appam. Honestly speaking I felt it was overpriced... No doubt, Mutton Olathede was very delicious, well cooked, a little bit sweet, soft medium sized pieces of meat where all kinds of whole spices can be tasted, mainly the black pepper and cardamom. Kerala Kozhi Curry was okay, could have been tried with rice for better taste... Malabar Parathas were fantastic, really good to be mentioned. The service is fantastic, prompt and they serve very quickly after ordering... Staff are very attentive and helpful while you are ordering. The ambience is pretty good and well decorated but the space is not enough for too many people. Location : behind the desopriyo park . If you are coming from Kalighat metro station then take a auto to desopriyo park from there it takes minutes walk in distance. Nearest railway station Ballygunge. First of all the ambience is very basic don't be fool by the Google images . The sitting area is small. Quality is good. Quantity is sufficient for one person. We went for lunch,ordered masala dosa and veg meal. Crispiness of the dosa was missing.dosa was small in sizes. But you will get two dosa in one serving. Masala tastes good. Otherwise the taste is normal and a little bit OVERPRICED. MUST try their special items. Service: They served very quickly. Sits are available when we go. Even reserve options available. Parking : lots of street parking available. Washroom: available. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Awkward services

I would not even give any star for services, went to the restaurant during an afternoon for lunch, and the providers there behaved in an awkward fashion. Firstly the served us uncleaned spoons, secondly when we requested them to extend a chair where we could keep our belongings, even when the whole place was empty at that time, they simply points out another place to put the stuffs in cold attitude. I would try to avoid this place.
