Below average food. Corn serkh kebab starter was stale. Had to return it. Paneer Tikka starter did not have that grill flavour. Very bland. Main course was also below avg. If the ambience hadn’t been so great, I’d rate it 0 stars. Also, a lot of preference was given to foreign tourists over us Indians. Felt really miserable here. Also, very slow service. It was my birthday night. Would not come here again.

Ambrai Restaurant, Udaipur ....A truly beautiful place. Ambrai offers both indoor and outdoor seating, but the outdoor seating is magical with stunning views of the City. Make sure to reserve in advance for outdoor seating as it gets full and usually has a Cover charge. The Food is good...especially the mutton curry, which I loved. Cocktails are also well made. Staff is also good and pleasant. Very Instagrammable spot with a strong cultural and royal vibe. One of my favourite places in Udaipur. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,600–1,800 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes

Ambrai Restaurant is definitely one of the most hyped restaurants in Udaipur. It’s already very popular, so sometimes the staff seems more focused on quick service and managing the crowd rather than giving personal attention to each customer. You might feel like they want to serve fast and free up the table. However, the view is absolutely amazing The lakeside setting with a direct view of City Palace makes it a perfect spot for a romantic date night. The ambiance in the evening, especially with the lights reflecting on the water, is truly beautiful.
