I recently visited ALS Kitchen, Orlem Malad West, and I must say it turned out to be one of the best pocket-friendly restaurants I’ve tried in this area. The food, flavors, and overall experience were truly satisfying, especially for the price point. We ordered three dishes – Rawas Koliwada, Surmai Tawa Fry, and Chicken Tikka Biryani – and each one was a delight in its own way. The Rawas Koliwada was fresh, crispy on the outside, yet soft and juicy inside, with that authentic koli-style marination that gives a perfect kick of spice. The Surmai Tawa Fry was another highlight – perfectly seared, well-spiced, and cooked just right to retain the fish’s natural flavors. For seafood lovers, both of these are absolute must-tries. Coming to the Chicken Tikka Biryani, it was flavorful, aromatic, and comforting. The chicken pieces were tender, well-marinated, and cooked to perfection. The biryani had just the right balance of spices, making it tasty without being too heavy or oily – something that’s hard to find these days. The service was quick, the staff was polite, and the ambiance felt simple yet welcoming. For the quality and taste offered, the pricing is very reasonable, making it a great option for both casual outings and regular visits. Overall, I would rate ALS Kitchen a 4/5. ALS Kitchen in Orlem, Malad West is a hidden gem! Tried Rawas Koliwada, Surmai Tawa Fry, and Chicken Tikka Biryani – all three are absolute must-tries.
