We visited Almond House near Le Meridien, Hyderabad, and purchased sweets worth ₹5,000 to take to the USA. We requested 4 ladoos each in 4 boxes, but since the boxes looked empty and we were worried they might move during the flight, we politely asked to pack them in 3 boxes and give one empty box for safety. Shockingly, they refused to give even an empty box, despite us speaking to the supervisor. Both the staff and the supervisor were rude and indifferent. Eventually, we had to ask them to reopen and repack everything into 4 boxes again — a complete waste of time for everyone. The store was also untidy, with big trays lying around and flies hovering near the sweets. For a premium-priced outlet, hygiene and service were far below expectations. Moreover, a Zomato pickup guy was shouting at staff for a long delay, even though we were the only customers in the store and several employees were standing idle. The scene was chaotic and unpleasant. Overall, a poor experience — overpriced, unhygienic, and unprofessional. Not what you expect from a reputed brand like Almond House. Definitely needs better staff training and hygiene management.
