I visited this restaurant twice and both experiences were disappointing. I ordered shawaya mandi, but the chicken was not fully cooked, and the mandi rice had no flavor at all. It was honestly the worst mandi I have ever had. I also tried the chicken curry, which was equally bad. Overall, the food quality was very poor. I can’t comment on other items on the menu—they might be better—but based on my experience, I won’t be visiting again and would not recommend this place. I recently visited Thalassery Family Restaurant located in Nellikkuzhi, and I must say, it was quite a delightful experience. The food they served was good, and I tried their Meals, Chattychor, Chappathi, and Beef roast. The Chattychor was particularly interesting as it came with a variety of options like Beef, Chicken, Fish, Egg, and more. I really enjoyed it. The ambience of the restaurant was pleasant, and they offered both AC and non-AC seating options, which is a plus. Additionally, they had convenient roadside parking available. I happened to visit on Thiruvonam, and to my surprise, they served Palada Payasam to everyone. They generously gave half a glass of this sweet treat, which I found to be a nice gesture. In summary, my visit to Thalassery Family Restaurant was a good experience. The food variety, ambience, and the sweet surprise of Palada Payasam made it a memorable visit. If you're looking for a place with simple yet delicious meals, this restaurant is worth trying.
