Cool concept. Too cool, actually. I ordered the shawarma plate expecting rich flavors and warm spices. What I got was a fridge-fresh experience — cold meat, dry romali roti, and mayo that looked more confused than creamy. Texture? Off. Temperature? Below expectations. Taste? I tried the 'Altaza special shawarma', there wasn't really any wow factor. It was okay. They've slightly smoked it, which I personally didn't like in terms of taste. For rs.215 the quantity also didn't feel worth it. The ambience is good, quite spacious and comfortable, also the customer service was really good. Al Taza definitely earns its title as one of Kochi's premier shawarma destinations. I tried their Burger Shawarma and Plate Shawarma Max, and both were incredibly tasty. The Watermelon Mojito was also a perfect, refreshing accompaniment. Plus, it's great to see they maintain excellent hygiene. All in all, a really positive and satisfying dining experience.
