Al Baik was on my bucketlist from a lot of recommendations and youtube videos. The Al Baik at Lulu Kottayam opens early but orders take quite some time to be ready. That is good because it's prepared with care. Coming to the fried chicken, I sampled the peri peri wings. The spicy and peri peri flavor is excellent and is very well blended into the wings and chicken skin, unlike other outlets who just sprinkle the powder unevenly. This made the skin very flavorful and each bite packed with an excellent taste. The wings were also crispy enough but I was majority disappointed with the portion size. For over 250, the wings were pretty small. Will certainly try other dishes next time. The main staff was very knowledgeable of the menu and helped to choose the item.
