I went to this place one day when the original mataam al arabi happens to closed soon due to some police problems, I thought why not give this place a try.
Its basically a normal restaurant which serves arabic food, the ambience is good with red carpets on the floor and paintings on the walls. They serve you food in big thalis like any other arabic restaurant.
Coming to the food we have ordered fish mandi and chicken mandi with batair fry (quail) the food was good I liked it, the service was pretty quick, we got our food served in less than 5mins, you can give this restaurant a try atleast once.
I went to this place by mistake thinking it to be mataam al arabi as I was bit unfamiliar at that time of the food joints in the barkas area and this is the place I actually got introduced to the Arab cuisine.
The mandi I had at that time I still remember as a very nice experience and I don't regret to have visited the place even as I went there by mistake...
Coming to food, when compared to mataam al arabi, the latter wins hands down in flavor and quality.
If you are an arabic food lover and haven't visited this place yet, then hurry..you are missing something very delicious and authentic food here at AL Arabi Restaurant,
The ambience is good, after following the stairs when you enter into a large hall you'll start feeling as in the traditional arabic restaurant.
Mandi chicken/lamb ordered is ultra delicious, great combination of spice less rice and roasted meat can be enjoyed here..Garnishing of the plate with veg stuff and dry fruits is a speciality.
In the same locality you'll find couple more arabian restaurants but they ain't so good in taste and ambience as well.
