Akshay’s Kitchen has become my go-to neighborhood spot whenever I want to unwind with friends over a drink. The place, set in a charming old bungalow turned restaurant, has a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you feel at home right away. The food is pure Goan comfort. The prawns rava fry were crisp on the outside and perfectly cooked inside, bursting with flavor. The fish cafreal, made with their own blend of house spices, was rich, tangy, and absolutely delicious. Even the spicy chicken carried the right punch without overpowering the palate. Between the hearty food, laid-back setting, and friendly service, it’s the kind of place that keeps calling you back—whether for a relaxed evening with friends or simply to indulge in some authentic Goan flavors. Tried this local place in Porvorim today for a fish thali. The thali was good (I do have my other favorites, but this one had its own taste). The prawns rava fry masala was got my attention, and I also tried the chicken fry. This was my first visit and overall, it was a nice experience. Will definitely visit again for a more detailed review.
