Akshaya mess is the best sathvic brahmin food (home style) one can get in Sringeri. It is very close to temple gopuram. Next Bhagyalakshmi stores. Tasty food, no excessive masala or oil. One must visit if you visit Sringeri. They also sell home made appalams, chips, sambar, rasam powder, pickles etc.This is very authentic place for brahmin food. If you are looking for plateful of cups and items that you would never able to cherish or finish, then, this is not a place for you. This is truly tastefully prepared home food and if you are with aged family members, please do visit.
