Don't try Kallummakkay Biriyani fron Ajwa.Today me and sister had Kallummakkay and Mutton biryani. Got only 3-4 small pieces of Kallummakkay only,, lots of onion and masala only. Costs 320 for one biriyani. Didn't suggest Ajwa... Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Service: Dine in Price per person: ₹200–400

Visited Ajwa Restaurant, Thane, Kannur recently. The restaurant is set up in a converted house, so the ambience feels homely but quite average. This place is known mainly for its biriyani varieties, and that’s exactly what you’ll find on the menu. We tried the chicken biriyani, and it had a truly authentic Malabari taste — flavorful and delicious. Definitely a great choice for biriyani lovers! One small downside is that the toilet area is visible from the dining space, which can be a bit distracting. Also, the staff seemed quite cautious about photography and initially questioned the purpose of taking photos. They were fine once I explained that I’m a Google reviewer and write food reviews. Overall, a good spot if you’re in the heart of Kannur and craving some tasty biriyani.
