Ignore other places, discover the Persian menu at this restaurant. Degust nicely cooked cutlets and good turkey at Ahura Hotel Dahanu. Try tasty biscuits. Great tea is among the most often ordered drinks at this place.

At an optimal distance of approx 150 kms away from Mumbai towards Vapi, this road is a bikers paradise. Mostly done early morning, you compete with trucks and the traffic leading towards Gujarat and beyond on your way. Its about two hours one way and the place is unlike any dhaba or hotel one encounters on Indian highways. Highly efficient staff, a whole lot of parsi food with typical south indian fare thrown in as well. On Sundays between 7 and 10, the best bikes in India owned by Mumbaikars or the Gujarat side of the fence can be seen lined up outside the massive parking lot. Situated next is a petrol bunk which fits very well into making this an ideal stopover before turning back towards home. Do have the bun maska, kheema and sali par eedu (eggs over potato chips) if you prefer a hearty breakfast. The ride back is a breeze with mostly traffic free roads and please be careful of the point near Charoti which is marked with multiple boards as an accident spot. It is a straight road where one tends to overspeed, getting on a slight elevation and it drops into a tight right bend. If you are overspeeding, there is no way in hell will you be able to make the turn and it has led to many egos, bones and bikes that have got damaged on that turn.
