I’ve been a loyal customer of Ahar for several years now, but I’m extremely disappointed with how things have changed recently — especially when it comes to handling dietary preferences.I strictly follow a Jain diet, and I make it a point to clearly mention this every single time I order. Despite that, I’ve been served regular food containing onion, garlic, etc., on three different occasions. What’s even worse is that when I double-checked with the waiter, he confidently assured me that the food was Jain — only for me to later realize that it wasn’t.This isn’t just a casual mistake — it’s a serious breach of trust, especially for those of us who follow dietary rules for religious reasons. And now I’m left wondering how many times I may have unknowingly consumed non-Jain food in the past.The first time I complained, the manager offered to cancel the item from the bill. By the third time, I made it clear that this solution was not acceptable anymore. The manager told me they were busy due to a crowd and would call back with a resolution — but they never did.This experience has truly shaken the trust I had in this restaurant. If you follow strict dietary guidelines — whether for religious, health, or personal reasons — I urge you to double and triple check your food before eating here. And even then, there are no guarantees.I sincerely hope Ahar takes accountability and improves their staff training and order verification processes. Until then, I will have to reconsider returning.
