Agya Singh's Dhaba offers homely food at affordable prices and has been serving since 1952. The variety of breads they offer is impressive, right from stuffed naan to tandoori roti and lacha paratha, everything is prepared fresh. We tried their Tandoori Roti, Lacha Paratha, Stuffed Naan, Garlic Butter Naan, Paneer Butter Masala, Mix Veg, and Salty Lassi. The food tasted good, and the menu is entirely vegetarian. The separate AC seating area is much needed, as the heat from the open tandoor and ovens can be exhausting, especially during the day. One highlight was the gud (jaggery) and fennel seeds served along with the bill, adding an authentic dhaba-style touch to the experience. The seating arrangement is slightly cramped, as the table felt small even for three people to eat comfortably. Overall, it felt like just another dhaba and didn’t make it to my must-visit-again list. While shopping in Patiala, we stumbled upon Agya Singh Dhaba, and it turned out to be a good find. Located in the busy streets, this pure vegetarian dhaba offers AC dining and serves authentic Punjabi food. The dishes are homely and satisfying, and they have a wide variety of breads like Tandoori Roti, Lachha Paratha, Stuffed Naan, Garlic Naan and more, which go really well with the gravies. The place could definitely be better with some extra attention to cleanliness, but overall, it’s a decent spot for hearty vegetarian Punjabi meals.
