The Residency Towers are really outdoing themselves. And the prize for the best seating in Coimbatore goes to...The Edition - Library Bar! To be honest, I absolutely loved their décor and ambience. The dim lighting, huge hardcover tomes, soft music and of course, the seating, makes it the best bar to have a conversation in. They also have multiple TVs tuned to just one sports channel, which was quite weird for a hotel of this reputation. I went there on a Sunday evening, and the clientele was very limited, just hotel guests. The food menu is limited, just starters. The alcohol menu is standard, but extremely limited if you prefer cocktails. I had a Silly Billy and it was just decent. The Vadavalli Sour was better. The crispy lamb in hot bean sauce disappointed me. It was really dry with no real taste. The Dong Buc chicken was much softer and better. The prices are extremely high. And they have a bunch of taxes added to the bill. But really, this is one of the only bars in the city you can have a decent conversation in. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ₹2,000+
