Tried New Afghan Darbar at Kausar Baugh recently. The food was good — we ordered Chapli kebabs and Qabuli Pulao. The kebabs were crispy on the outside and soft, juicy inside, with very good taste. The red sauce served alongside was excellent and really enhanced the flavour. The Qubali Pulao rice was yummy, well-flavoured, and tasty. It’s a good place to try Afghan cuisine if you’re in the area, and I’d recommend exploring other dishes on the menu as well. That said, it does get crowded on weekends, so be prepared to wait. Service is slow, likely due to limited staff. The place could be cleaner, which would improve the overall experience. They do have a separate family section, which is a plus. Overall, worth a visit for the food if you’re nearby — just manage expectations around wait time and service.
