Come to this restaurant for a break and try good yogurt. The whole impression won't be complete without mango lassi that is great here. The cheerful staff meets you at Blue Lassi all year round. The fast service is something these restaurateurs care about. Prices at this place claim to be attractive.
The place is clean but tiny. If you are going in group, you might have to wait for some time, but the wait is worth !!!
Ordered the Plain Lassi...it was of average taste. It was a bit too sweet for me and was garnished with a few slivers of pistachio nuts. A small earthen pot of plain, watered lassi cost me Rs 60. The other items like Mixed Fruit lassi and the Chocolate lassi was priced at well above Rs 100.
In a place like Varanasi, this place DOES NOT serve authentic lassis. Other roadsode shops provide HUGE glasses of lassi which are purely yoghurt based, thick and creamy...unlike the ones provided in Blue Lassi. Not only is their quantity low and price high, but their lassi is quite bland and not as thick as the ones other shops provide. The layer of malai given on top is a very thin one.
Varanasi is famous for its milk products and Blue Lassi do not do justice to the level of lassi originally found here. Other than providing a variety of synthetic flavours, this shop serves below average lassis.
