Aakhol is different than it's surrounding dhabas and hotels. It doesn't have that rush and crowd. But the quality of food is pleasant. Had a veg thali and local chicken, which were delicious. Overall, it was a good experience. Also, frozen fish are also available in packets. Bought frozen xingora fish Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Assamese Veg Thali

On a travel back from Kazaringa, we stopped in wonderful Nagaon. This place was an absolute treat. We had dishes made with banana flowers and stems, which were delicious, chicken and duck. However, The traditional Assamese Thali was my highlight, which had all locally produced goodness cooked to perfection. The owners and staff were lovely and welcoming and took time to explain the dishes. The restaurant was clean and provided western toilets. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Assamese Veg Thali Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection Dietary restrictions: My wife is gluten/grain free and this was just perfect.
