The name of the hotel is Patiala shahi guest house. I would start with the staff or the receptionist. Two guys who welcomed us were very helpful and friendly. They were good in negotiating the room rates with us. We wanted a room just for a night for 3 adults and were on a budget. They got us a very big room which could accommodate almost 20 people . I could play box type cricket inside. The receptionist was very welcoming and asked us for food and water. They served us veg Punjabi style food which had paneer bhurji, roti dal rice. The food was good and tasted like home cooked. The staff was friendly and funny. The rooms were neat and clean. The receptionist told us, “stay here like it’s your house. Geysers, soaps, towels was provided. There were a lot of young guys who had booked rooms as they were heading to Shimla which was on the way. Hotel location is close to the highway and in proximity to bus stand, markets and Kalka railway station. It is bang opposite to Govt secondary school in Pinjore. If you are on a budget, go to this hotel but you need to ask people for this place because it is located inside a lane and if you are traveling at night you might find it a bit hard to search. Just ask Govt school and you will reach there.
