I am native of Gobichettipalayam. I visited this place many times. The ambience is good and service is good. Previously i am fan of this mess and recomended for many people. But I have reduced food quality to 2stars, becuase due to some reason the food items served here are too salty. Tried chicken briyani twice, on both incidence the salt added is too high. Not only briyani Thayir vengayam(onion with curd) and all gravy items served along with briyani are also too salty. Masala, flavour and every tihing is good. But too much salt can spoil our health. Person with hyper tension, obesity, elderly people and people with health issues betteravoid this place. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹200–400

(Hidden - as we are first time comers and is slightly inside the main road) If you're in or around Gobichettipalayam and craving an authentic non-vegetarian meal, Sri Amman Mess is an absolute must-visit. We recently had their non-veg meals for lunch with 9 varieties of gravy, and it was a memorable experience from start to finish. The mutton side dishes were rich and flavorful, while the egg kalakki added a perfect local twist. To top it off, the meal concluded with a comforting soup, followed by curd and refreshing buttermilk — the ideal wrap-up to a hearty feast. The service was truly top-notch. The staff were welcoming, efficient, and made sure we had everything we needed. The place retains its authenticity in both food and atmosphere — simple, clean, and steeped in tradition.
