A Hidden Gem for Non-Veg Lovers – Sri Amman Mess, Gobichettipalayam. (Hidden - as we are first time comers and is slightly inside the main road) If you're in or around Gobichettipalayam and craving an authentic non-vegetarian meal, Sri Amman Mess is an absolute must-visit. We recently had their non-veg meals for lunch with 9 varieties of gravy, and it was a memorable experience from start to finish. The mutton side dishes were rich and flavorful, while the egg kalakki added a perfect local twist. To top it off, the meal concluded with a comforting soup, followed by curd and refreshing buttermilk — the ideal wrap-up to a hearty feast. The service was truly top-notch. The staff were welcoming, efficient, and made sure we had everything we needed. The place retains its authenticity in both food and atmosphere — simple, clean, and steeped in tradition. If you're new to the place, do follow the instructions from the servers on the order of eating the food — trust me, you’ll be mesmerized by the taste. Their way, enhances the experience and brings out the best in every bite. Plan your visit on a weekday for a smooth, hassle-free dining experience.
