A1 Bakery in Bandra is one of those super old-school spots tucked away in a tiny nook — no seating, just a small counter where you can grab your food and maybe stand around while you eat. We landed up here after Googling “old bakeries in Bandra,” and A1 popped up in almost every article, so naturally, we had pretty high expectations. But honestly? It was quite underwhelming. We tried a bunch of things — their veg and non-veg patties (both decent), the quiche (again, decent), and the very hyped-up chicken lollipops, which were just okay. Nothing was outright bad, but nothing really wowed us either. That said, the prices are quite reasonable. So for the price, the food is fair. But the overall experience? Meh. Definitely not something I’d go out of my way to recommend. I think the hype kind of worked against it — we walked in expecting a “hidden gem” kind of vibe and left feeling like it was all just very average. Facinated by its location position reminds of old bombay where tram way car was way of life. Old parsi table chair cafes used to be under tree to avoid the scorching heat. Amazing food snacks here mawa cake, plum cake, vada pao, pao fresh baked, chicken lolipop, mini chicken burger, chicken Patties, chicken seek h roll mutton patties egg patties easter eggs all are wonderful. Visit to this age old bakery gives nostalia, flavours of old bombay. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
