Standards fallen down incredibly!

POSITIVES -
+ Waiters are Polite

NEGATIVES -
- Horrible Quality Standards
- Average Service
- Unsatisfactory Food

I remember until as recently as 2 years ago, Taste of Rampur used to be very popular among people in and around Koramangala. It was known for its tacky yet different decor and tasty north Indian food! Today you see a completely different 'A Taste of Rampur' then what it used to be. The standards have fallen considerably. The decor has been toned down; many elements of the decor have been taken down. Air conditioning is no longer provided and food quality has been compromised heavily.

The butter chicken and dal makhni here used to be delicious and my favorite back then when they were at their peak of popularity and business a few years ago. On my recent visits to the place I was shocked at how much it has all changed for the worse. The Dal Makhni has become runny and watery as compared to the thick, rich and creamy dish that it used to be. Butter Chicken has become average from having been great.

The lunch buffet they always served, though just a decent fare with a few dishes, was still tasty. But the last time I went here for a buffet, it was horrible. The meat was fibrous and overcooked, variety has decreased (not that there used to be great variety earlier). The gravies looked sad; they were those that were too thin and watery and those that were thick which looked like baby food! Water is served in plastic glasses and the soup was served in a paper cup which is used to serve water at functions! Ridiculous. Seriously how much more can a restaurant fall in terms of quality!? They used to always have ice cream on the buffet. But this time when I asked why they didn't have ice cream, the waiter's reply for it was - and I'm not kidding - "since there is soup today, there is no ice cream". What? WHAT? SERIOUSLY? Like what? How does soup and ice cream even correlate? Absolute nonsense.

I am very disappointed in what the restaurant has come to and the 1.5 that I'm giving is only to pay homage to the nice restaurant that it once used to be. Otherwise I would've preferred to give 0.
