Felt Completely Cheated – Watch Out for Moonshine Beer Pricing scam Went to this cafe with friends for a casual evening and saw Moonshine Beer placed on every table. It had an MRP of ₹150, so I thought, “Great, that’s a decent price,” and ordered one. The beer was good, but when the bill arrived, I was shocked—they charged ₹450 per bottle, and after taxes, it totaled ₹545! When we questioned it, the staff simply said, “Since it’s served in a restaurant, we can charge more.” I understand restaurants mark up prices, but charging over three times the MRP, plus service charges and VAt (total 20%), feels outright misleading. It left a bad taste—not from the beer, but from feeling duped. If you’re planning to visit, double-check prices before ordering. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through this frustrating experience.
