Cake smells and tastes like it’s 4 days old. In mango cake there is no cream or sponge only mangoes.

Have ordered a Black forest cake today. Unfortunately 7Violettes did not have it in a pastry form so had to go with the full cake of 750 g. I am from Russia and this cake has been one of my favs since childhood. Seeing the black forest ad on Instagram and after trying a few pastries from the shop that were of good taste and quality and quite different from those which you get in India, I felt that the Black Forest has to be very close to the original. However after having a bite, I got so much disappointed with the taste. You can get a black forest cake of the same quality and same taste at most local shops but at much cheaper rates includng delivery service.Cons:1)The sponge itself did not taste nice. It felt that a lot of raising agent was used.2) The taste of the sponge was very similar to the eggless one and did not have rich chocolate taste.3) It did not have a cherry liqueur.4) The chocolate shavings are not of the dark chocolate and are made of the average quality chocolate.5) In original version black cherries are used, while 7Violettes used some oversweet candied light ones.2 stars rating:The Black Forest cake is of the average quality.There is no delivery service.The menu and choice of the pastries are very limited.The shop timing. It's open from 2.30 to 8.00 pm.
