My partner and I were craving for Bengali food. We have heard about this place. But never went. It is also somewhat new it seems. We ordered paturi, fish curry, aalo posto bhorta , Chalkumror bora ….1. ambience- beautiful, aesthetic; walls are designed with terracotta masks. 2. Pricey- but yummy. A simple food like Bhorta- posto and aalo with ghee was to die for. I managed to lick my fingers many times. The paturi’s fragrance is still stuck in my soul. 3. Staff: very good and welcoming 4. We ordered two mocktails - Sundarbans and Byomkesh Bakshi- lovely aroma
This was my second visit to 6 Ballygunge Place Delhi. The first visit was for dinner, with a group of forty friends, right after Durga Puja, in October 2024. We had opted for the THAALI, which had all Bengali veg & non veg delicacies. On the side, we had ordered Boneless Elish & Daab Chingri. The food was amazing & we found it better than the original Kolkata outlet. Today - 15 Jan 2026, I visited once again for lunch, with my friend from Texas. We had ordered for Fish Fry, Luchi Kosha Mangsho, Steamed Rice & Boneless Elish. Every dish was a delight & we enjoyed every morsel of what we ate. We finished our meal with Paati Shaapta which was again soft & moist. We even packed Patti Shaapta & Dudh Puli for our home.Service was prompt & they gave us personal attention. Their smiling demeanor & pleasant & courteous attitude made a positive impact on us. I highly recommend this restaurant to all genuine Bengali food lovers.
