From Salads, Appetisers, Soups Mains or Desserts - try what you fancy!
I was sent quite a few stuff for tasting and loved the vibrant salad, yummy soupy noodles, Bao and their desserts the most. Here's a brief on each dish:
Bulgogi Chicken salad - It has Korean grilled chicken, Pok-choy, pepper, lettuce & quinoa salad tossed in Honey- Lime dressing.
What a lovely and colourful looking salad. The dressing accompanied with it just elevated the whole salad. Just a great, tasty and healthy food option.
Coriander soupy noodle bowl:
The aromas of the soup just hits you when you remove the lid from the container. Spicy coriander, dry coconut and chilly based curry soup with chicken, vegetables, steamed egg and noodles.
A lot of care and attention has been taken while making this soup. Why?? The carved and chopped veggies. This itself can be a good meal for one person. A must try!
Barbecued chicken bao:
Traditional steamed Cantonese bao bun stuffed with fragrant barbequed chicken. Served with red chilli relish, mint mayonnaise and a sauce. The baos were very well made and stuffed chicken had a unique taste and texture in a nice way.
Sumatran chicken satay: served with peanut sauce & tangy Asian salad.
My experience with satay has been too sweet with peanut butter sauce. This one thankfully was different and lesser sweet. The skewered chicken chunks were tender, the chilli flakes sprinkled on top gave a nice mild kick. The pineapple skewers and tangy salad accompanied brought the sweet and balanced element to the dish.
Nasi Bukhari : This is Malaysian chicken biryani, a Malaysian wedding special chicken biryani with cinnamon, lemongrass and almonds.
Eyes straightaway go on the topped chicken drumstick on the bed of flavorful rice. Nice.
Pok choy mushroom with moon faan rice:
I love mushrooms and like the crunch texture of pok choy as it is. I didn't know what's faan rice however. The rice was flavorful with bits of bell peppers in it. The mushroom, veggies and pok choy cooked together in a soya garlic sauce was a little too strong for me. I'm no expertise in Asian cuisine but this was almost bitter taste. Unfortunately, didn't like it.
Fish XO with tomato basil noodles: The colour of the noodles with little chopped veggies was very vibrant and appealing to try and tasted nice with Basil flavor being very prominent. The battered fish cooked in sweet chilli brown sauce with bell peppers was okay, noodles were great.
Desserts:
Elaichi malpua folded with cardamom infused cream : Just right, not too sweet and the fluffy cream added taste and texture. This could've been better and must be eaten when warm.
Chocolate spring roll coated with white sesame seeds: Rich dark and milk chocolate filled mini spring rolls served with whipped cream.
Every bite was a delight and sesame gave a nice crunch!
Aficionados of Asian cuisine will definitely love the food. The packaging was just perfect with food being super hot and intact when delivered! Good job guys!
