My husband and I visited Café 129 in McLeodganj. It’s located upstairs, so you’ll need to look out for it, but it’s truly a quiet, small and cozy spot. The place has a nicely decorated corner and a lovely balcony seating area with a great view. The staff were incredibly humble and sweet. We ordered the classic pancakes, veg kimbap, cappuccino, and Hong Kong coffee. Everything tasted great, but the classic pancakes were definitely the highlight. The staff even offered to take our pictures — they clicked multiple shots and kindly asked if we wanted more. It was such a thoughtful gesture and added to the overall warm experience. Had a lovely tea-time experience at Cafe 129, located near Bhagsu Nath Temple Road in Mcleodganj. The rainy weather added to the cozy vibes of the café, and the overall experience was delightful. We tried the Kimbab (Korean Veg Sushi), Classic Pancake, Hong Kong Yuan Yang Coffee, and a Cappuccino. While the Kimbab wasn't quite to our taste, the pancakes were absolutely delicious—fluffy, warm, and comforting. Both the coffee and cappuccino were really well made, with rich flavor and just the right balance. What truly stood out was the hospitality of the staff. They were extremely courteous and welcoming, even inviting us to explore the café and click some pictures. That personal touch made the whole experience memorable. A charming little spot, especially great to unwind on a rainy day with good food, great coffee, and even better service. Highly recommended if you're in Mcleodganj. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

There are many good cafes and restaurants in McGan, but cafe129 feels a little more special. This is partly because of the expansive view that I didn't expect until I entered, partly because of the comfortable interior seating arrangement that made me feel like I was visiting a friend's house, and partly because of the staff who prepared every dish I ordered with great care and ingredients. I was always happy when I went to cafe129, and all the food I ordered was very satisfying considering the price. It's a great place to chat with friends, and it's also a great place for gatherings. It's a great place to go alone and read a book or just zone out. A place you must visit while in McGan is cafe129. - The vegetable ttukba soup is so clear and refreshing. In terms of Korean food, it's like banquet noodles. I've tried Tukba at various Tibetan restaurants, but I love cafe129's Tukba the most. - The Korean ramen is also really delicious. They boil it with the right amount of vegetables, but personally, I don't think I get this level of ramen no matter where I order ramen from any Korean snack bar. Ramen is served with kimchi and rice. - Kimchi is a slightly spicy and sour water kimchi style without strong seasoning. It's so delicious. - I also liked the tea served in pots. They gave me a small teacup so I could keep drinking it warm and enjoy it until the end. - I also enjoyed the watermelon lemon and apple carrot juice. I love the combination! - Please put a lot of stir-fried vegetables in bibimbap. It may feel a bit greasy when you eat it all, but you can mix it well and eat it. - The seaweed soup sold for 50 rupees is also very refreshing and delicious. It doesn't taste like instant seaweed soup, so I don't know how they make it. When you eat bibimbap, order it and eat it together. Other coffees were also delicious. (Mocha, Hong Kong coffee, espresso, etc.) I hope cafe129 will always be a place where peaceful and happy people gather, and I will definitely visit the next time I go to McGan. During my stay at McGan, I was grateful for the warm service, food, and location every time I visited. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
