I had visited this place before with my friend just to check on it and perform a small litmus test if I can actually treat here! And bingo, this place cleared the test! When we had gone here for a simple snack we munched on some Balsamic Tomato Bruschetta which is like a determining appetizer for me! It was just fine, nothing extraordinary but yeah not bad at all. We were just two, so they let us sit in their cabin which was in the form a Telephone Booth. It was nice, with a lot of privacy. There are very many seating options available here and the Latino style decor reminds you of the Americas.
Well, so we booked a table for May 17 which was fortunately a Saturday night. Saturday nights at 015's Cafe are casual dining nights with DJ. No sooner do you enter the place than you get the feel of a discotheque. Something that all young bloods crave for. The ambiance is dark which compliments the theme and there are screens displaying videos of the various songs played. Everybody around including the Manager of this place was in a weekendish mood and enjoying the evening. To me it all appeared as if everybody was celebrating my 20th birthday!:P Cuz some of them while on their tables, literally shoved their hands up in the air on their favorite numbers.
Now first of all, this place is very particular about the beverage brands they serve. I asked the manager for a 'Coke' and he said, 'Cocaine is illegal!' So, I thought probably he misheard me on account of the extremely loud music. So, I repeated myself saying, 'I want a Coca Cola.' To this he replied, 'Sorry, we don't keep pesticide!:P' Then I smiled and asked, 'Can I have a Pepsi?' To this he smiled back and said, 'I will get you one in no time!' I don't have any personal preferences when it comes to Colas but yeah, the Pepsi- Coke rivalry was pretty evident here.
Now coming to the food, we first placed an order for 015's Supreme Nachos which were great to start our dinner with. Then we chomped on some onion rings which were again great! Now these are pretty standard fares and this place quite lived up to our expectations. Among the Pizzas we went in for a Schezwan Paneer Pizza which was pretty Indianized but fiery hot. We also had slices of the Exotic Veggies Pizza which was a great mixture of all the amazing things a Pizza can have, bell peppers, broccoli, babycorn and jalapenos!
By the time we were done with our pizzas we were almost full so ordered the light Arabiatta Pasta. Now these are the standard items you order on a birthday treat as they are liked by one and all. I didn't really get a chance to experiment this time. The Pasta was also satisfying enough. The food here is not something out of the world. It's just normal, but the one thing worth cherishing about this place is it's ambience and the atmosphere in here. I am looking forward to visiting this place on a Wednesday night when they have Karaoke sessions.
Well, and yeah how can I forget my friends had arranged for the dessert. Well, it was a Baked Nutella Cheesecake from the newly opened Love & Cheesecake (Andheri Lokhandwala). The cake was simply marvelous and finger licking! The best tasting birthday cake I've ever had. Just flawless! But yeah, one thing I can say that probably went awry is that I had met a few of my friends after like ages. You know once you're in different fields and different colleges you only catch up on birthday treats. And we all enjoyed the music but somehow we found it difficult to talk among ourselves and had to actually holler at each other. But that does not deter me from recommending this place!
