One of the best places in Kumbakonam if you’re craving authentic parotta! Serving for over 20 years, this spot is known for its balloon parotta with kurma and the must-try mutta bonda – both are absolutely top-notch. They serve only vegetarian and egg-based dishes, and the food is super budget-friendly, especially for daily eaters. The place is usually crowded, so expect a 5–10 minute wait to get a seat. The ambience is simple and has that old-school charm, and what makes it even more special is that they still cook with firewood, adding that nostalgic flavor. They serve idly dosa also for dinner. !!!!!!!Don't fall as prey for the YouTube influencers!!!!!!!! I just witnessed now, A waiter who is supplying water spits in the drinking water drum and looks weirdly after spitting if anyone is seeing him, after witnessing this I just closed the leaf and got away from there and also informed the cashier on this regard. Also, the shop is way more unhygienic, There are more waiters standing therby, but none have works. The shop is filled with waiters alone and looks the shop more crowd. It's unnecessary to have these much waiters for the hotel that can accomodate only around 20 members. The shop is famous for its Balloon. Parotta but imo the balloon Parotta is not much special it's just the normal Parotta. They just make fluffy balls in tawa and gets the attention of customers but when it comes to the leaf it's just an ordinary Parotta and handful of palmolein Oil..
