To my surprise, it was empty during lunch time. It's on the first floor, with a nice view of the valley. The seating is neat with decor inspired by Bhutanese culture. You only get Bhutanese food here so don't expect any Indian food. I wanted to try a lot of things, but they said they serve those only on weekends. The butter tea and the pork soup were very nice. But the main course of chicken Datshi was a downer, it was too sour and the flavor of the chillies was underwhelming. The egg Datshi was a little dry. What irked me was the coldness and indifference of the staff and the owner. A smile is not too much to ask for. Location: About 10mins walk from the main market, on the road towards Siliguri. Ambience: Simply decorated, large tables and floor tables, large windows overlooking the mountains. Service: Was quite prompt. However, the lady taking orders was not good in English so difficult to understand the dishes. Filtered drinking water available. Ordered: * Itshum (Bhutanese Red Rice): Rs 100. Slightly sticky rice, small grains, good to taste. * Langsha Juma (Beef Sausages): Rs 250. Sausages cut into small pieces and sautéed with onions tomatoes, mildly spicy, excellent taste. * Kewa Datshi (Potato with Cheese): Rs 120. Fabulous taste, slices of boiled potatoes simmered in a cheesy broth. Overall, highly recommended! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Smoked Pork Chop, Shikam Paa, Chilli Paste, Bhutanese Thali, Pickles, Chicken Thukpa, Non Veg Buffet, Sikam EMA Datshi, Kewa Datshi Potato with Cheese, Itshum Bhutanese Red Rice, Sakam Paa Recommendation for vegetarians: Would not recommend Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes, Not sure Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot, Free of charge parking garage
