Was wondering why, to come here. To begin with, things we liked about this place. There place was open and we got a place to sit 30 seconds after entering. Were given the menu and peanut and salad in two small bowl with chopsticks. We had ordered for a sushi roll with avocado and Mango and requested to replace black rice with white, this was especially the highlight dish of the day. Then got a chicken Katsu curry, learnt that had to order rice separately. The curry did not taste like Japanese curry and since the chicken was cut and dipped in the curry, it had lost its crunch. We also ordered for Japanese Gyoza, well left more like steam momos than pan fried and team in Japanese style. Also had ordered this was starters, came as a dessert 30 min after our meal had ended. Overall, the service was also. People forgot the order of serving dishes, billing process was even better, the person could not operate the machine/ bad network connectivity. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹800–1,000

YouMee is a small restaurant in Phoenix Mall, the ambiance is a little too dark for me, but i can see quite a few people liking it. I tried 3 items, Dynamite Shrimp Roll, Yuzu Rock Shrimp Bao and the YouMee Goreng. Out of the 3 items i honestly liked the YouMee Goreng, it is a fried rice with 2 types of meat, prawns and chicken satay. It comes with a Sunny Side Egg, so if you do not like runny yolks with a barely set white, i would request them to remove it. The Sushi was a disappointment, the rice felt very off for some reason, even when i went for lunch. Finally, the Open Bao Buns, there was good flavor there but the buns felt a little undercooked, doughy, sticky and oily. My hands were a mess while eating them. Wouldn’t try it here again, but if you want to try something new it is worth a shot. Finally a few things to note. 1) The hygiene is questionable, i saw a small cockroach on one of the tables. I notified the staff and they placed me in on another table. 2) They do accept zomato pay, so you can save using the discounts, but remember to make a reservation on the app. 3) They do have a few tiny bites on the table before you eat, one was a peanut snack and the other was a pickled salad of sorts, i would recommend getting a fresh one when they serve you. 4) The price Estimate on my review is with the zomato discount. My mother went to this restaurant solo. She is a vegetarian and ordered the black rice and mango sushi along with broccoli almond dumplings. It was very filling and enough for her. It was absolutely delicious. The accompaniments and sauces were too good - Shanghai oil and Thai chilli jam. Since it was her birthday, they gave a complimentary dessert too. Kudos to Chef Iman and server Shyam. Thank you for making her day!
