Besides National Gallery of Modern Art, visit Yataii in the vicinity. This restaurant is known for providing Japanese cuisine. Nothing can be better than trying nicely cooked fried prawns, salmon maki and japanese curry. Yataii offers you tasty ice cream. Get your meal started with good wine. Visitors don't like tea at this place.
There is a magnificent view from this spot. The staff is said to be accommodating here. The terrific service is a great plus of this restaurant. A number of guests mark that prices are democratic for what you get. There is a cozy atmosphere and fine decor at Yataii. We visited after 6 years due to unavoidable reasons. Have been wanting to dine here for a long time. Bangalore traffic does not allow impulsive plans to happen very easily. Anyway, we came here for my birthday celebration and had a lovely time. The sashimi, sushi, nigiri and other items were yum and fresh. I loved the salmon carpaccio best. It was something new to me. Spicy Tuna Ceviche could be improved a bit. The combination did not sit well with me. Perhaps instead of cucumber and onion, there could be avocado and tiny pieces of spring onion. The food was average (vegetarian), very average ambience and I was bored by the end of the whole experience. I could not finish my main course due to average taste of food. The manager was busy attending few people who she considered were super important than a few of the other customers and did not bother to ask us how we were liking the food as in any such fine dining places I have been to before. I went on my birthday and I felt it was an absolute waste of my time on such a special occasion. The people posting these great reviews is mostly because they have paid a bomb for the food and will not accept that it is overpriced for the quality it provides. Had a wonderful time at Yataii shangri-la. Chef Yoshinori greeted us which made us feel very warm and welcomed. The food and the presentation was top notch ‘ Gochisousama chef’. The staffs Rinrin , Shibani, Yeemi and Khaijahao were very courteous and well versed with the food recommendations and tended even to all our requests. Thank you and will definitely recommend Yataii if you want to experience japanese cuisine. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
