A few days ago we were at the Dabolim Airport in Goa. We saw the 'Wrapafella' counter on the ground floor and were drawn towards the Wraps mentioned on the Menu card. We inquired about the Aloo Achari wrap and were informed that it could be customized. However, we decided not to order due to lack of seating space downstairs, and, instead opted to go to the food court on the 2nd floor. Happy to see the 'Wrapafella' counter over there, we ordered the Aloo Achari Wrap. There, too, the staff assured us that it can be customized, so we requested not to put chillies, capsicum and avoid too much spice. We also did not want to have it made from maida, so we bought the jumbo wrap that is made from wheat flour (the smaller-sized wraps are made from maida). We got it exactly as we wanted it, and it was crunchy and delicious! The only issue was that the roti part of my wrap was a bit blackened (not overly so) and hence the 4 stars and not 5. The paper packaging is brilliant. You just tear open on the serrated section all around, and slide the wrap out in parts as you go along biting into it. No plastic, no mess. On inquiry, we were told that the Wrap can last about 4 hours, so, since we liked it so much and it was properly packaged, we took two home and heated it on arrival. It did taste yummy, then, too. However, it is suggested that if taking it along, eat it on the flight otherwise take a wrap without onions as that may spoil by the time you reach your destination if you are travelling in the hot season. Mind you, like anything that you eat at an airport, the food is overpriced. One jumbo wrap cost Rs.330/-!! At least it was delicious. It would be nice if the price is reduced. A special thanks to Ms. Pooja and Ms. Savita at the counter, and Ms. Mariola at the counter downstairs (not sure if I got the spelling of her name right) who explained precisely what all the Wrap contained and thanks to her, we did order it on going upstairs. They are together a smiling, cheerful, patient and competent team. Appreciate their indefatigable service, spending long hours on their feet to satiate hungry fliers. Thank you. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: Note- The option for Wraps is missing from recommended dishes. You can request for a customized Wrap if you do not want, for example, spicy food or want to skip specific vegetables.
