While I visited Belagavi we tried the chicken biryani at Hotel New Welcome, an old restaurant that's been around for a while. It may not be a famous spot, but it's clear why it's still standing - their quality and pricing are hard to beat. The restaurant has a nostalgic feel to it, and the biryani was decent, nothing exceptional, but satisfying. What really impressed me was the generous portion size and affordable price tag. You get great value for your money here. As my wife, who grew up in Belgaum, has known this restaurant since her childhood and has tried various dishes here, which assured her of their quality, leading us to choose it for our food from this restaurant.
