Villa Maya, a fine dining spot in Thiruvananthapuram, offers an exceptional experience to its patrons. The restaurant serves global cuisine with a focus on North Indian and seafood dishes. The ambience of the establishment is breathtaking, surrounded by lush greenery and fish ponds that create a serene atmosphere. The interior design is inspired by Balinese architecture and landscape, giving the place a royal and heritage look. The price range is on the higher side, but the quality of food and service justifies it. The location of the eatery is on one of the busiest roads in the city, with limited parking space available. Villa Maya has both indoor and outdoor seating options, with live music playing in the background. The bar serves a variety of wines, beers, and cocktails such as sangria and mimosa. For non-alcoholic beverages, they have a range of soft drinks and mocktails. Some of the must-try dishes include Kerala parotta, stuffed crab in a shell, veg pastas, salmon, and ahi tuna. For desserts, the spiced blueberry and apple crumble and coffee fudge in caramel sauce are highly recommended. The staff is well-trained, knowledgeable, and attentive, making sure that the customers' needs are met. Overall, Villa Maya is a gem in Thiruvananthapuram that offers an unforgettable dining experience.

Wow, what an experience to dine at Villa Maya. It is obvious why it has so many awards to pin to the wall. The location, the ambience, the service, and the food were all outstanding. We were cared for brilliantly by our steward Rajesh, amongst a whole team of staff - all of whom were exceptionally well trained and professional. For dinner we were treated to the spice box platter that we shared as a starter, and then two further platters for our main course (the sea food platter and the chef's day special) as our way to try as much of the menu as possible. We loved it all and only wish we'd saved some more space for the dessert platter too! The surroundings are lovely, sat amongst fish ponds and palm trees, with the theme running through to the rather unique washrooms (see the photos for why it was an interesting talking point!). The authentic heritage design of the restaurant and tranquil outdoor space creates a wonderfully romantic atmosphere to enjoy as a couple, as we did, or as a great setting for a group meal as some of our friends did. If we had more time during our trip, we would definitely have returned to try more of the menu and hope to visit again in the future. Ambience too good especially at night. Hospitality ok. Food quality average. Pricing is on the higher side for the quantity and quality of food served.
