Dear Vaango Team, I am writing to share a very concerning experience I had at one of your outlets, which reflects a serious hygiene issue and lack of basic food safety awareness. Today, I visited your store intending to order a masala dosa and filter coffee. At the counter, there were two team members — one was taking orders, and the other, who identified himself as Neeham, was preparing the dosa. To my shock, I observed a wet cloth being used to clean both the countertop and then the dosa tawa (hot plate). When I politely objected, the person taking the order casually said that the staff member is new and "doesn't understand things yet." Meanwhile, the staff member who used the cloth smiled and denied using the same cloth, despite me clearly seeing it happen. I had to cancel my order because this is a serious breach of hygiene and food safety. Given that Vaango is a reputed brand, it is concerning to see staff untrained in such basic hygiene protocols. This kind of carelessness can lead to health issues for your customers. Also, when I mentioned that I would be raising a complaint, the boy taking the order casually responded, 'Sure,' showing no concern I strongly urge your team to review your training procedures and ensure that all new employees are properly trained in hygiene, safety, and customer handling before they begin food preparation. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, and I would appreciate a response regarding the steps being taken to address this.
