A delightful dining experience under the mango tree! The restaurant truly lives up to its name - it’s literally set under a big mango tree, creating a beautiful and cozy atmosphere. If you get a table on the terrace, the experience becomes even better. We had booked our table in advance and reached on time. However, there was a small issue - despite reserving for five people, we were given a four-seater table with an attached extra chair, which was a bit disappointing for a restaurant of this level. Other than that, the service was good, and the food was excellent. Most dishes arrived on time, just as mentioned by the staff while taking the order. Since it’s a North Indian-style restaurant, we were familiar with many dishes, but we still took recommendations from our server - and they turned out to be great choices! The highlight for me was the Mushroom Galouti Kebab - absolutely delicious and worth trying. Price per person: ₹2,000+ Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

We visited Under the Mango Tree in Bhopal last night, hoping for a pleasant evening dining at one of the city’s five-star properties. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. We had to wait around 15 minutes for a table, and once seated, it took another 15–20 minutes for someone to take our order. The drinks arrived after another 15–20 minutes, and starters followed about 5 minutes later. I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea, listed under Premium Cocktails, but it was highly watered down and lacked the strength or balance you’d expect from such a drink. After our starters and drinks, no one checked on our table for a long time. When we finally managed to get a server’s attention to order mains, we were told it would take about 20 minutes, but we noticed the adjacent table had been waiting for over 45 minutes, so we decided against it. We ordered beer and desserts instead just to wrap up the evening. Even the bill took around 10 minutes to arrive after requesting it. The overall service speed, attentiveness, and drink quality were nowhere near what one would expect at a fine-dining expensive restaurant inside a five-star hotel. The ambience is nice, but the service needs serious improvement. Would not recommend unless the management improves their service standards and bar quality.
