Tryst Gourmet was on my list based on my favourable outing to their other outlet on east coast road. Glad they have one on Khader Nawaz Khan road and very close to where my office is located. It has become pertinent that they have an outlet here mostly because of the upmarket crowd that throngs this location. It is important to note that many restaurants that have been here on this road have failed except for a few including Cafe Coffee Day.
The only reason that pops up in my mind is only due to the price points and for offering comfort food. So its not a bad idea to open up a gourmet bakery here and hopeful these folks do well. I saw quite a few expatriates here too. possibly because of the location. They offer a wide variety of gourmet ingredients including imported goods such as sauces, dips, pastas, variety of breads including baguettes, oils, chocolates among others.
My visit was again a takeaway and I ordered for quite a few items including pineapple danish, tiramisu mousse, chocolate rasberry pastry, macaroons, brioche, almond croissant and spinach quiche. The pineapple danish was quite good with few bits of pineapple pieces that popped up in every bite. The pastry was quite well made being creamy, soft, chocolatey with subtle hints of rasberry flavour.
The almond croissant was crispy, sweet and beautiful pieces of almonds that popped up.The brioche was sweet but not too much and the size quite big unlike many other joints. The bread was well done. I loved the cheese quiche too. The tiramisu was good with coffee flavour and with enough cream although I am unsure if mascarpone cheese was used. The macaroons were really nice too.
Overall, worthy of a visit for their gourmet boulangerie and patisserie. I am sure they will succeed if they continue to offer gourmet food at the right price points.
Tryst cafe is one place you should definitely go when you are craving Eclairs . Trust me ,They have the best Eclairs in town ! Prices are Okay . They can introduce more items . But the Eclairs is to die for !
