We visited Topic Craft Bar & Kitchen on 18th January. Since it was a Sunday, we arrived early and were among the first few guests. Service was quick, likely because only two tables were occupied at the time. The food was average—not bad, but nothing exceptional. The bigger concern was the billing practice. A water bottle was placed on our table but not opened or consumed, yet it was still charged. When we questioned this, the service staff said that since it was billed, we should take the bottle along. However, we never requested it. Being forced to carry something we didn’t need was uncomfortable and unnecessary. When we escalated the issue to the F&B Operations Manager, instead of handling it professionally, he reprimanded a staff member loudly in front of us. This reflected poor leadership and a lack of basic courtesy—both towards customers and team members. Hospitality is not just about serving food; it’s also about respectful behavior. Although we eventually received a refund, the practice itself was ethically wrong. If this outlet aims to sustain itself in the long run, such billing tactics will only damage trust and reputation. With a seating capacity of around 250–300 covers, even charging a few tables daily for unwanted items can add up significantly over time. This raises serious concerns about transparency and intent. Overall, disappointing experience—not because of the food, but due to questionable practices and unprofessional conduct. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: ₹2,000+
