After reading several positive, highly appreciated reviews, I wanted to try 3 different pizzas in small sizes. Reached the outlet for takeaway, small size was not available. 1 medium and rest all large. Ordered 2 and waited and turned eyes around. Restaurant gives a fresh look with all walls painted neatly with some photos showing cultures of Tulunadu, which is highly appreciated. Tables and chairs complement the design/theme. 4 fans inside, no AC, dull lit room. In few minutes, I had to go outside as it started to feel warm inside and kind of suffocating. There is no proper ventilation, a tiny 6-8 inch exhaust fan that was switched off. Definitely you can feel the warm air inside (people with breathing problems, watch out!!). My waiting continued surprisingly for close to 45-50 minutes for the 2 pizzas I ordered, but I waited patiently. I would say this is really too high of a waiting time. I saw 2 delivery persons take away the orders and also they were serving customers in the shop. I had tried ordering online through swiggy, which they have listed, however, immediately after adding pizzas to the cart (around 11:30 a.m.), it said this restaurant is no longer taking orders. This was the reason I visited the restaurant for takeaway. I got my pizzas after long wait, and I wanted to see if the wait was worth it. Reaching home, took first bite, and I must tell you, the pizzas are definitely very tasty, way better than well-known brands which are not available around Moodbidri and you have to go to Mangalore for that. Every bite of the pizza was delicious. Same flavor, taste, softness until the last bite. Cheeze was well spread, well melted. Topping was abundant and more importantly fresh. Seasoning packets included were plentiful. Recently had tried pizza from another restaurant which had opened up during post-COVID period in Moodbidri, and comparing Thenas' pizza to theirs, Thenas' wins by miles. Well done chef. I've been very picky here while reviewing, so suggesting the owners, please take care of the ventilation, 1 star reserved for future revisit and re-review. Overall the wait was worth it, simply amazing pizza.
