I found this place on zomato and wanted to try it since a very long time. The hotel le lac is located beside a lake and is quite old. The shack is one of the restaurants in le lac. It was a coffee shop before. Now it is the hookah lounge of the place. It is an outdoor restaurant with 3 tables and umbrellas on top. The warm winter sun increased the suitability of the place. The overall ambience was nice.
Me and my friend tried veg manchow soup and rani irani kebabs. The soup was very spicy just like the name says. Rani irani kebabs tasted fantastic with the mayo onion and green pudina chutney. It was spicy, juicy and delicious. The quantity of the food was good too.
Our attender was very nice and polite and served us well. The prices of few dishes are a bit high but in general affordable.
Ahirtoli area is relatively unknown to the students of BIT Mesra and thus most of the places here are left unexplored. I went to this place the first time in four years and although it is expensive, I'd say that it was worth it. From the outdoor seating and service to food and ambience, my friends and I loved this place.
Some of our recommendations would be -
APPETISERS -
VEG - Paneer Makhmali Seekh
NON-VEG - Shredded Chicken, Murg Malai Tikka (no words to describe the taste of the latter, we just wanted more of it)
MAIN COURSE (VEG) -
Generally I don't like mix-veg preparations but 'Subz Chulbuli' was prepared very well. Normal Choice of Paneer was good. Dal Makhani comes under the restaurant's speciality and must be tried.
We totally loved this place and would recommend it to the other people. :)
