The Rameshwaram Cafe is one of the most popular South Indian restaurants in Bengaluru, with only a few branches across the city. One of them is located in JP Nagar, which I recently visited. I visited around 2:00 PM, and the crowd was slightly high. Ordering is done by standing in a queue, though there is also a self-ordering machine available. I waited for about 10 minutes to receive my order, which was called out using the token number printed on the bill. I ordered Butter Masala Dosa, Bisi Bele Bath, and Tea. The food quality was good overall, but the dosa quantity felt a bit less, and the taste could have been better considering the price. The Bisi Bele Bath was good, rich in vegetables and well-cooked. The tea was the highlight for me—it tasted like a flavorful masala chai, which I really enjoyed. In my opinion, the pricing is on the higher side. Similar food can be found at almost the same price in a well-seated, air-conditioned restaurant. However, the ambience was pleasant, with enough space for dining and parking. They also play calm background music, which creates a nice vibe. Cleanliness and maintenance are well managed, which is appreciable. Overall, it’s a good place to visit at least once, but I wouldn’t recommend it for regular visits. It’s better suited for an occasional visit rather than a frequent dining spot.
