From the moment we arrived (although the journey there was hard work), this resort completely exceeded our expectations. It’s rare to find a place that feels both timeless and luxurious — like stepping back in history, yet surrounded by every modern comfort you could wish for. The grounds are beautifully preserved, with so much character and charm in every corner. The staff were absolutely wonderful — warm, friendly, and made us feel like royalty from the second we entered. They went out of their way to be kind and accommodating, especially with our toddler, which made the experience even more relaxing and memorable. A special shout out to Manish, who looked after our every need and request. The highlight of the activities available was the sunset boat ride — peaceful, breathtaking, and perfectly organized (once again thanks to Manish). The food was outstanding — no matter the cuisine and the local Kolkata food prepared was especially excellent. The spa also deserves a special mention — the masseuse was exceptional, one of the best we’ve ever experienced, leaving us completely refreshed and renewed. We left feeling like we could have lived there forever. This resort is a rare gem — elegant, welcoming, and unforgettable. We will definitely return - if only the journey there could be made more comfortable /less bumpy!!

We didn't stay so cannot comment about the Rooms. We went for a day trip. The food was super delicious, and it is rarely seen that in a thali each and every item is finger licking good. The guided tour is included in the food pricing. We enjoyed it very much.

We visited this magnificent heritage property last weekend to celebrate my mom’s retirementthey way they helped with the cake cutting process is much appreciable . The property is a hidden gem to witness the essence of a rajbari. The ambiance, the quintessential Bengali food ( one of the best buffet we truly enjoyed our fish thali & zamidari thali) and the beyond the world hospitality defines “The Rajbari Bawali”Finally a special thanks to Subhajit & Susmita for making this experience more memorable.
