I visited The Monk on Saturday, 21st, 2025, night with high expectations, as the ambiance and service were both pleasant. The food tasted really good — flavorful, well-cooked, and nicely presented. However, unfortunately, my experience took a turn for the worse. By early Sunday morning, I began experiencing severe food poisoning symptoms. I hadn’t eaten anything else unusual that could explain it, so I strongly suspect it was something from the dinner at The Monk. It’s disappointing because the taste and overall dining experience were otherwise enjoyable. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures stricter food safety and hygiene protocols. A good meal should never come at the cost of one’s health. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
