The Kasar Kitchen has several strong points, great service isn't one of them. In a great location on the Kasardevi Ridge, the Kasar is blessed with a sunny terrace, ideal for chilly days. However, just three tables are placed in the sun. The best views of the valleys and the distant Nanda Devi mountains thus get restricted to three lucky first-come first-served families. Fortunately, there's a viewing platform with faux plastic grass, which affords great views. The food is moderately priced, and is more affordable than on Kasardevi's main drag just 300m down the road.
