Visited The Grid for a Sunday lunch with family, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. A big shoutout to Kaushik for his excellent service - polite, attentive, and genuinely warm throughout. The food quality was top-notch, as expected from a good Kolkata spot. Each dish was freshly cooked and served piping hot. Among the drinks, the Hefeweizen was commendable - smooth and well-balanced. However, the India Pale Ale didn’t quite hit the mark, coming off a bit too dark and bitter for the style. The only downside was the seating arrangement. Despite having pre-booked via Swiggy and requesting a specific well-lit table, we were denied it, being told it was pre-reserved. The table we were given felt cramped and uncomfortable, though we later managed to add one more table to make it better. The space overall feels a bit narrow and could use better lighting and layout optimization. While that cost a star, I’d still say this place is a promising addition to Kolkata’s evolving microbrewery scene - a decent step toward a more mature craft beer culture in the city.
