We dined at the Dining Room in Grand Hyatt Goa with high expectations, but unfortunately, the overall experience fell short. While the service was courteous and responsive, the food quality and sequence of service were far from what one would expect at a five-star property. We ordered butter roti, palak lasooni, jeera pulao, and paneer achari tikka. Surprisingly, the main course arrived before the starters, which immediately threw off the dining flow. The palak lasooni was overly bitter and hard to enjoy, the butter roti didn’t have any butter, and what was supposed to be jeera pulao ended up tasting more like jeera fried rice—lacking both flavor and authenticity. One commendable moment was when my wife, who was feeling low on sugar, needed something quickly. The waiter promptly brought a soup without hesitation, and we truly appreciated that thoughtful gesture. To their credit, the staff acknowledged the issues and agreed to nullify the entire bill. However, we insisted on paying for the paneer achari tikka, which was genuinely good. They also tried to recover the experience by serving us jasmine rice with green Thai curry—surprisingly excellent—but by then, the damage to the overall impression had been done. The restaurant manager did handle the situation with professionalism and made a sincere effort to set things right, which we do appreciate. Still, given the standard and pricing, the inconsistencies in food and service flow were disappointing. Not quite the experience we expected at Grand Hyatt. The dining experience at Grand Hyatt Goa’s Floor Level restaurant is nothing short of extraordinary. From the elegant ambiance to the impeccable service, every detail feels thoughtfully curated. The floor-level seating adds a unique charm, blending modern luxury with a relaxed vibe perfect for Goa’s coastal spirit. The food is a masterpiece—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We loved the seafood platter, which tasted like it was straight from the ocean, and the Goan prawn curry was an authentic burst of local flavors. The staff went above and beyond, offering attentive yet unobtrusive service, and even the cocktails (try the passionfruit mojito!) were crafted to perfection. Whether you’re here for a romantic dinner or a special celebration, the combination of stunning views, world-class cuisine, and warm hospitality makes this restaurant a standout in North Goa. A must-visit for anyone craving an unforgettable culinary journey! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
