I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at The Club Munnar, and I must say it was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had. I had high hopes for this establishment based on their online reviews and promotional materials, but my stay was nothing short of a disaster. First and foremost, the cleanliness of the room was appalling. The carpets were stained and dirty, the bathroom tiles were grimy, and there were even visible cobwebs in the corners. It seemed as though the room hadn't been properly cleaned in ages. The overall lack of hygiene was both off-putting and unacceptable. Moreover, the amenities promised on their website were a far cry from reality. The Wi-Fi, which they claimed was high-speed, was agonizingly slow and inconsistent. This made it impossible for me to complete any work or even browse the internet without frustration. Additionally, the fitness center, which was advertised as state-of-the-art, turned out to be a tiny room with outdated equipment and malfunctioning machines. The customer service was equally disappointing. The staff at the front desk seemed disinterested and unhelpful. When I tried to voice my concerns about the room's cleanliness, they simply shrugged it off and offered no solution or apology. It was clear that they were not interested in ensuring a pleasant stay for their guests. To make matters worse, the noise level in the hotel was unbearable. The walls were paper-thin, and I could hear every conversation and movement from the adjacent rooms. Needless to say, this made it impossible to get a good night's sleep or find any semblance of peace and quiet. Lastly, the location of the hotel was far from ideal. It was situated in a rundown neighborhood, which made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable, especially when walking around at night. The lack of nearby restaurants and attractions also made it difficult to find decent dining options or engage in any enjoyable activities. Overall, my experience at The Club Mist Munnar was extremely disappointing. The subpar cleanliness, false advertising of amenities, unhelpful staff, noisy environment, and inconvenient location left me with a negative impression. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
